Fabrics for dance outfits are often extremely spectacular. Such material should be the "second skin" of the dancer, neatly envelop his body and cooperate with his movements, and in addition, it must be glamorous. Find out what fabrics to use to sew a dance costume.
The three most important conditions to be met by the material
durable
Breezy
Stretchable
Most store proposals unfortunately do not meet these conditions and leave much to be desired in terms of quality. The dancer should not disturb anything, knead it, or cut into the skin. Therefore, the choice of fabric is very important.
The material most commonly used for dancing is lycra, which is extremely flexible and comfortable. Good quality lycra does not cause sweating and even after a long time of use it looks great.
Of course, there are cases where we will need a standard dress. For such projects, we use materials that will either make the bottom of the dress add volume to us (in the case of a dress to a waltz) or be more airy (for example, a jazz dress) depending on the design, the material will either rise or unfold with different rotating figures.
For this type of dress, the best suited for:
satin - smooth and ingay fabric. Shiny on the one hand and matte on the other. It works well and works well in very elegant, stately, ball-shaped dresses.
chiffon - nice to the touch, light and slightly translucent fabric. Most often used in airy and simple styles.
organza - a thin and transparent fabric, at the same time quite rigid. It is perfect for styles with frills and draperies and high-volume dresses, which at the same time are designed to give the impression of airy.
tulle - translucent fabric. Thanks to easy processing, you can create from it very different creations with interesting shapes.
zorżeta - ingesting, matte, translucent material. Slightly stiffer and heavier than muslin. Perfect for airy dresses.
Good material means a spectacular effect, no matter what circumstances we come to dance in. Italian fabrics are second to none.
